The CSU Office of Water Programs is a nonprofit
organization operating under the California State University, Sacramento
Foundation. This office develops and impliments operator training programs,
and training manuals for operators of water treatment plants, water distribution
systems, wastewater collection systems, and municipal and industrial wastewater
treatment and reclamation facilities.

Linn-Benton provides education, training and professional resources in the
fields of water treatment and supply, wastewater collection and treatment,

Water Academy (DWA)
Established by the U.S. EPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water, the
Drinking Water Academy (DWA) is a long-term training initiative whose primary
goal is to expand EPA, State, and Tribal capabilities to implement the 1996
Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).

The EPA has put together a collection of fact sheets, brochures, and web
pages that help explain environmental issues to students. These resources
offer basic and clear information about air, ecosystems, conservation, water,
waste and recycling, and human health.

Promotes effective and efficient environmental infrastructure and helps
state, local, and tribal governments comply with federal and state regulations.

Training Center (Arizona)
The Environmental Training Center is Arizona's premier environmental, health,
and safety training provider. The center regularly offers open enrollment
compliance training courses required by OSHA, EPA, RCRA, MSHA, DOT,
rules and regulations.

Resource Center (ERC) at Crowder College
The Environmental Resource Center (ERC) is the designated Missouri State
Training Center for training personnel involved in operating, maintaining,
and managing water quality control facilities.

Government Institutes/ABS Consulting is dedicated to professional development.
They provide continuing education and practical information to help you

Materials Training and Research Institute (HMTRI)
The purpose
of the Institute is to promote worker protection as well as to maintain
a clean and safe environment through education and training.

for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP)
ITEP was established in 1992 with a vision of helping Indian Tribes manage
their environmental resources through effective training and education programs.
• The Maryland Center for Environmental Training is celebrating 20 years of providing comprehensive training and technical assistance for environmental compliance and occupational safety and health. Training is offered at sites throughout Maryland and is approved by the State of Maryland for water and wastewater operator certification renewal. MCET also provides on-site technical assistance to Maryland's communities and businesses. MCET helps to ensure that water and wastewater treatment facilities fully comply with the stringent provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act and the Clean Water Act.

The MT P2 Program is dedicated to helping the state's small businesses and
local governments use progressive, integrated pollution prevention (P2)
strategies to increase productivity, while safeguarding air, water, land,
and other natural resources.

Environmental Education and Training Foundation (NEETF)
NEETF is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing environmental
education in its many forms. is a non-profit international society for safety,
health, environmental, and other technical training and adult education
professionals.

Formerly NETA [National Environmental Training Association], NESHTA is a
nonprofit international society for safety, health, environmental, and other
technical training and adult education professionals.

Technical Information Service (NTIS)
This U.S. Department of Commerce service is the federal government's central
source for the sale of scientific, technical, engineering, and business
information produced by or for the U.S. government. NTIS offers nearly three
million products in a variety of formats, including microfiche, paper, diskette,
audiovisual, CD-ROM, and online.

Training Center—Cook College Office of Continuing Education
The Cook College Office of Continuing Professional Education seeks to improve
the quality of life for residents of New Jersey and beyond through education
and public service.

The primary focus of the Operator Training Committee of Ohio is to design,
develop, and deliver training programs to individuals in water and wastewater

• TACNET
[EPA Technical Assistance Center Network]
The small public water systems TAC form a network with a goal of protecting
public health, improving water system sustainability, and enhancing compliance.
TACs apply university resources to address the needs of rural and small public water systems or public water systems that serve Indian Tribes in the areas of technology verification, pilot and field testing innovative technologies, and training and technical assistance.

The Texas Engineering Extension Service, one of the nation's largest providers
of workforce training, is known for its innovative, customized programs
and its hands-on and on-site training.

The 104(g)(1) program helps the nation's small community wastewater treatment
